PSE Utility Work

Highway:
SR 548 Region: Northwest County: Whatcom Location: Milepost(s) 4.84 to 4.93

Description: Puget Sound Energy will be moving utilities.
Work schedule:

  • Until Friday, March 24 - PSE crews will work during the weekday daylight hours to relocate utilities near Kickerville Road. This work is happening in advance of a WSDOT intersection improvement project. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the area.

Sedro-Woolley to Concrete resurfacing - 8989

Highway: SR 20 Region: Northwest County: Skagit Location: Milepost(s) 67.10 - 90.52

Description: This resurfacing project will rehabilitate the existing pavement and preserve SR 20 from near Fruitdale Road in Sedro-Woolley to the eastern Concrete city limits.

Work schedule:

  • Until further notice - Contractor crews will be working during the daylight hours to repair some areas of the roadbed to prepare for resurfacing work later this construction season.


WSDOT Tunnel Inspection

Description: WSDOT bridge crews will be doing tunnel inspections.
Work schedule:

  • Tuesday, March 28 - WSDOT bridge crews will close one lane of SR 20 between Main Street and Diablo Road from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. for tunnel inspection. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.

Whidbey Island Marathon Traffic Impacts

Description: Whidbey Island Marathon expected to create some delays and closures
Event Schedule:

  • Sunday, April 23rd - Drivers should expect delays, runners on the shoulder in areas and the following closures during the running of the 2017 Whidbey Island Marathon. SR 20 in the vicinity of Rosario Road to Ducken Road will be closed between 7 and 7:45 a.m. The westbound SR 20 left turn to Southeast Pioneer Way and through lane to South Beeksma Drive will be closed from 8 to 9 a.m. The eastbound SR 20 right turn and through lane to South Beeksma Drive and Southeast Pioneer Way will be closed from 8 to 9 a.m.

City of Oak Harbor Maintenance Work

Description: WSDOT bridge crews will be doing a bridge inspection.
Work schedule:

  • Monday, March 27 until May 26 - City of Oak Harbor crews will close one lane over the Deception and Canoe Pass bridges nightly for waterline hanger work. Travelers should expect some minimal delays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This work will happen during the overnight weekday hours. Flaggers will alternate traffic through an open lane.
