Snake River Red Wolf Bridge Deck Rehabilitation

Highway:
SR-128 Region: South Central County: Asotin Location: SR-128 milepost 0.22 to o.50

Project Description:
This project will rehabilitate the existing bridge deck of the Red Wolf Bridge on SR 128 MP 0.22 to MP 0.50 between Asotin County and Whitman County. Traffic will be detoured onto US-12/Bridge Street.

Week work schedule:

  • Through Friday, Sept. 21: from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily the bridge will be reduced to a single lane.

Maintenance/Utility Operations:

I-182 and US-395 Tri-Cities Vicinity Paving and Joint Repair 

Highway: I-182 and US-395 Region: South Central County: Benton Franklin Location: I-182 mileposts 4 to 5 and US-395 milepost 17 to 18

Project description: This project improves the I-182 interchange and sections of US-395 by repairing the existing roadway with crack sealing, fog sealing and repaving. This work also includes installing guardrails, repairing bridge decks and applying new lane striping. This work is scheduled to be complete in late August.

Week work schedule:

  • Monday evening Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. through Friday morning Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. – Vicinity of US-395 / Yelm St : Single lane closures nightly for sidewalk upgrades.

I-82 Columbia River Bridge Eastbound Deck Replacement

Highway:
I-82 Region: South Central County: Umatilla Location: I-82, milepost 132

Project description: 
This project removes the deck off the eastbound bridge across the Columbia River into Oregon. The work will also upgrade the electrical system and pavement markings across the bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto the westbound bridge during the majority of this multi-season project. Work is scheduled to be complete by this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

  • 24 hours a day: The eastbound traffic is shifted across a detour onto the westbound Columbia River bridge into Oregon 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The speed limit is reduced to 40 mph through the detour. The westbound lanes are reduced to a single lane.

 

I-182 Queensgate Drive Interchange Improvements

Project description: This project replaces the existing traffic signal at the I-182 and Queensgate Drive Interchange with a roundabout and re-aligning and adding a second lane to the eastbound on- and off-ramps. This work is scheduled to be complete by this fall. 

Weekly work schedule:

  • Through Friday, Sept. 21 - nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Possible intermittent Lane Closures for illumination work.

 

SR-224 City of West Richland Utility Work

Project description: The City of West Richland is installing a new water and sewer line along and across SR-224 at various locations between mileposts 6 and 7. This work is scheduled to be complete in October.

SR-240 City of Richland Village Parkway Intersection  Improvements

SR-221 Benton County PUD Utility Work

SCR 17-19 Region Wide – Rumble Strips

Project description: This contract calls for highway improvements that include installation of shoulder and centerline rumble strips, fog seal, replacing delineation and other work. 

Weekly work schedule:

  • Through Thursday Sept. 20 - MP 8.63 to 36.44 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will be placing centerline rumble strips and placing fog seal. Piloted 1-lane closures will be in effect.

SR-22 – Charter Communications - Utility Work

SR-397 – Bonneville Power Administration - Utility Work

I-90 - 468th Ave to the Snoqualmie Pass Summit repair concrete and bridge decks

Project description: This project repairs several sections of the eastbound lanes and repairs several bridge decks in the westbound lanes between North Bend and the summit of Snoqualmie Pass. This project is scheduled to be complete by this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

  • Eastbound: – Lane closures are planned 24 hours a day between milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 44 near Denny Creek.  Night time work may reduce traffic to one lane. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.
  • Westbound:  No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week.



I-90 USFS Road 9030 to Exit 45 Interchange Replace Lighting

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C add lanes and replace snowshed

Project description: This project builds a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Stampede Pass interchange by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and building wildlife crossings. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

  • Tuesday Sept, 18 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. - Maintenance crews will have a right lane closure westbound I-90 at milepost 52 (Alpental), along with the westbound 52 on ramp for bridge deck patching and pavement repairs.

  • Tuesday Sept. 18 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. - Maintenance crews will have a right lane closure westbound I-90 at milepost 87 for guardrail repairs.

  •  Wednesday Sept. 19  6:30 A.M. to 12 noon - Maintenance crews will be closing the Homestead Valley Road (Exit 38) from milepost 0.1 to milepost 1.8 for pavement preservation operations.

  • Wednesday Sept. 19 6:30 A.M. to12 noon -  Maintenance crews will close the westbound Sparks On-Ramp (Exit 70) for ITS system repairs and updates.

  • Thursday Sept. 20 8 A.M. to 12 noon -Maintenance crews will have a flagging operation on SR-906 at milepost 2.3 for the under bridge inspection team to preform inspections.

US-730 - North of Oregon Border Rockfall Prevention

Selah Creek Bridge EB-Paving and Bridge Joint Repair

Project Description: This project repairs the E/B bridge deck on I-82, just west of Selah. This project is scheduled to be finished this fall.

I-82, US-97 Yakima County bridge Deck Repair

This project repairs the bridge decks on I-82 just east of Yakima and on US-97 about 24 miles south of Toppenish. This project is scheduled to be finished this fall.

US-12 - Wildcat Creek Bridge Replacement

Project description: This project replaces the existing bridge. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

  • Friday, Sept. 21 beginning at 6 A.M. - Full closure between MP 158.67 to MP 167.91. The Tieton Reservoir Rd will be utilized for a detour route. Full closure will be from Friday, Sept. 21 to Sunday, Oct. 7. 

 

US-12 - Naches River/ Nelson Bridge Painting

Project description:
This project improves the Naches River Nelson Bridge by cleaning and repainting the steel and removing and replacing bird screens. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

Weekly work schedule: 

  • Through Sept. 28 - Traffic is reduced to a single lane in both directions seven days a weeks, 24 hours a day. Traffic should anticipate minor delays.


SR-24 – City of Moxee – Morrier Lane Intersection

  • Wednesday Sept. 19 – Thursday Sept. 20 – Crews will be inspecting/cleaning culverts along the highway shoulders; milepost 138-166 (Hwy 123/123 junction to Wildcat bridge) between 6:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. Shoulder work zones, minimal impacts anticipated.
