Construction slated to begin next summer

CHEHALIS – Members of the community are invited to an open house to learn more about the project to replace the Chamber Way bridge above Interstate 5 in Chehalis

On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the Washington State Department of Transportation will host an open house to discuss the timeline for building a four-lane structure at least 16 feet, 6 inches above the freeway.

WSDOT also wants input from the public on minimizing construction effects and planning future bicycle and pedestrian access for the new overpass.

“Public input is essential to our work, and this is a great opportunity for the community to be a part of this important project,” said WSDOT Project Engineer Frank Green.

Open house information

  • When: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16.
  • Where: Holiday Inn Express, 730 Northwest Liberty Place, Chehalis.
