The top layer of asphalt on State Route 270 is due for resurfacing, and the public can get the details of the upcoming project at an informational open house Thursday, April 20.
Contractors working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will grind the existing asphalt layer and resurface SR 270 through Pullman from the US 195 intersection to Forest Way. That's about half a mile past Bishop Boulevard. Crews will also replace 70 curb ramps, improve traffic signals, install signs and restripe the pavement.
WSDOT staff will be on hand to provide details on the project. There will be no formal presentation, and the public is free to stop in anytime during the open house.
