Overnight closure of I-5 off- and on-ramps at 116th Street Northeast in Marysville

New interchange configuration debuts in time for Monday morning commute

MARYSVILLE – If a trip up or down Interstate 5 to 116th Street Northeast is in your weekend plans, be prepared for delays.

Contractor crews working for the Tulalip Tribes interchange improvement project will begin to close on- and off- ramps at I-5 and 116th Street Northeast starting at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16.

Detour signs will guide drivers around the closures.

  • 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 – Northbound I-5 on-ramp closed.
  • 8 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday – Southbound I-5 off-ramp closed.
  • 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 – 116th Street overpass reduced to one lane.
  • 9 p.m. Saturday – 116th Street overpass closed.
  • 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 – 116th Street overpass opens.

All closures are weather-dependent.

The Tribes are using these closures to switch lanes into a new configuration by Monday morning.
