US 2 - I-5 Interchange to Bickford Ave Vic - Paving - Project detours

Contractor crews will need to close the westbound lanes of US 2 between the SR 204 interchange and I-5 interchange for six weekends. During the closures they will remove broken asphalt, inspect the trestle, make necessary repairs, apply a new coat of waterproof material and repave the highway.

The waterproof material must be applied to a completely dry surface that hasn't been exposed to rain for at least 24 hours, and must be installed in dry conditions to make sure it bonds properly. For this reason, all closures are weather-dependent.

This work is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday on the following dates:

  • July 13 – July 16 Completed
  • July 20 – July 23 Completed
