On-The-Job Training Support Services – Highway Construction Trades Scholarships

We are currently accepting scholarship applications.  Please note that applications are accepted until funds are expended, and it is in your best interest to apply early.  Thank you for your interest in the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Highway Construction Trades Scholarship.

WSDOT's On-the-Job Training Support Services Program (OJT/SS) provides pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship scholarship opportunities, to increase the participation of women, minorities, and other disadvantaged individuals in the federal-aid highway construction workforce.

  • Carpenters
  • Electricians
  • Cement Masons
  • Painters
  • Truck Drivers
  • Iron Workers
  • Heavy Equipment Operators or mechanics
  • Pile Drivers
  • Laborers
  • Other trades related to highway construction

These funds may be used for tuition, books and supplies.

Scholarship awards not to exceed $4000.

Scholarships are only available to Washington State residents providing appropriate identification.
