This document is a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Region and the Washington State Department of Transportation. This MOU documents the steps necessary to coordinate transportation activities involving highways on National Forest System land to ensure the public's safe access over these highways.

Fatal work zone crashes doubled in 2023 - Washington had 10 fatal work zone crashes on state roads.
