Blocking Incidents
  • Monday, September 2 – Express lanes will be open in the southbound direction from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Monday, September 2 – Express lanes will be open in the northbound direction from 1:45 to 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 14, to the morning of Sunday, September 15 – Express lanes will be open all night in the northbound direction from 1:45 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Construction Closures
  • On US 2 on Stevens Pass from west of the summit to east of Lanham Lake trailhead/Stevens Pass Nordic Center (milepost 64 to 71) expect lane closures, a 45 mph reduced speed zone and delays up to 20 minutes where a maintenance crew is repairing the pavement meet line.
  • Friday, Sept. 13, to the morning of Monday, Sept. 16 - SR 524 between 55th Avenue Northeast and 39th Avenue Southeast will close from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
  • On SR 153 near Methow (MP 11.83) Beginning July 17 through September, there will be intermittent flagger controlled traffic at all three bridges Monday through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Work is still primarily under and around the bridge, so delays will be short, primarily when the crew is moving and staging equipment.
  • On US 2 west of Skykomish (milepost 45) Monday and Tuesday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect short delays with flagger-controlled traffic where a contractor is setting the timber pole and installing a variable message sign. There will also be intermittent closures of both the westbound and eastbound shoulders at the work site Monday through Thursday.
  • On US 2, west of the summit of Stevens Pass (milepost 60), on Monday, expect delays up to 30 minutes at the summit and at Old Cascade Highway while the contractor is blasting and clearing the roadway for construction of an avalanche berm. Blasting work and delays will occur midday to late afternoon.
  • On US 97 at Beebe Bridge (south of the junction with SR 150) on Tuesday and Wednesday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays of 20 minutes while the bridge crew inspects the structure.
  • On US 97A in the city of Chelan on W. Woodin Ave. (milepost 223) Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with delays on W. Woodin Ave. where a contractor for Chelan County PUD is installing conduit.
  • Friday, September 13, to the morning of Monday, September 16 – The westbound SR 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. The off-ramp will be open during a UW football game at Husky Stadium on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 2 hours after the game.
  • Friday, September 13, to the morning of Monday, September 16 – The westbound SR 520 off-ramp to East Lake Washington Boulevard will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. The off-ramp will be open during a UW football game at Husky Stadium on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 2 hours after the game.
  • On US 2/97, two miles south of Orondo/junction of US 2 and US 97 (milepost 138) on Thursday only, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 10 minutes where a Douglas COunty PUD crew will clear rocks and debris that may fall onto the roadway during the construction of an access road.
Special Events
  • Sunday, Sept. 15 - A Sounders soccer match beginning at 3 p.m. at CenturyLink Field will bring increased traffic to downtown Seattle. Expect delays on I-5, SR 99, SR 520 and I-90.
