Blocking Incidents
  • SR 410 Chinook Pass remains open in both directions: the speed limit is reduced to 30 mph from milepost 69 to milepost 74 due to road damage near the summit. Drivers and motorcyclists are encouraged to be cautious as they travel the damaged area. Due to fire activity east of the pass, SR 410 travelers may also encounter areas of dense smoke, poor visibility at times, and fire equipment and crews working near the roadway. Delays are possible.
  • SR-123 Cayuse Pass is open for the season
  • I-82 westbound milepost 31 Yakima Twin Bridges: Wednesday Sept. 22 and possibly Thursday: Expect single lane closures for bridge work.
  • I-82 westbound milepost 19: Monday through Thursday Sept. 20 through Sept. 23 from 7 AM to 3 PM there will be a single lane closure for maintenance work.
Construction Closures
  • Beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, until further notice: The US 197 - Dalles Bridge will be fully closed between Washington and Oregon from 8 p.m. Thursday nights through 6 a.m., Monday mornings, for bridge deck replacement work.

    Note:
    During the full weekend bridge closures, travelers will follow a signed detour using the US 97 Biggs Junction Bridge. These closures will occur every weekend until Memorial Day 2022.
  • Monday, Sept. 20 to Thursday, Sept. 23: Travelers on both directions of SR 14, about 2 miles east of Bingen, should plan for intermittent delays of up to 20 minutes, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for slope stabilization work.

    Note: Travelers should use caution and lower travel speeds through the area when flaggers are present. The highway will be open during non-working hours and on weekends.
  • On SR 17 between milepost 23 and 29, Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays where the contractor is planing, paving, and striping the highway.
  • On SR 26 from milepost 33 to 35 (west of Othello), Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays where the contractor is planing, paving, and striping the highway.
  • US 12 both directions milepost 145 to 166 White Pass: Drivers may experience minor delays due to single lane alternating traffic control Monday Sept. 20 through Thursday Sept. 23 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for maintenance work.
  • US 97 northbound milepost 69 to 74 Wapato vicinity: There will be single lane closures Monday September 20, 7 p.m. to Tuesday September 21 at 9 a.m.
    Tuesday September 21, 7 p.m. to Wednesday September 22 at 9 a.m.
    Wednesday September 22, 7 p.m. to Thursday September 23 at 9 a.m.
    Thursday September 23, 7 p.m. to Friday September 24 at 9 a.m.
    Friday September 24, 7 p.m. to Saturday September 25 at 7 a.m.
    Minimal delays are anticipated.
  • US 97 milepost 63 to 64, north of Toppenish: There is a northbound traffic revision with a single lane in both directions for construction work. No access is available to and from US 97 to Becker Rd. and McDonald Rd.
  • US 395 both directions milepost 13 to 14: Access to S Bofer Canyon Rd from SB & NB US 395 via SR 397 will be closed to the public due to roadway excavation for thru traffic until further notice. Christensen Rd will be closed between the intersections of Christensen Rd & Southridge Blvd and Christensen Rd & Ridgeline Dr. Starting on Monday, Sept 20, access to Ridgeline Dr on the westside will be closed until further notice.
  • SR 410 milepost 84: Maintenance crews will be working on a shoulder washout repair Monday Sept. 20 through Thursday Sept. 23. Traffic can expect one lane traffic control from 7 am to 4 pm.
