Public Transportation - Regional Mobility Grant Program

The Regional Mobility Grant Program supports local efforts to improve connectivity between counties and regional population centers, and reduce transportation delay. This program is supported exclusively by state funding. Funded projects include:

  • New transit services
  • Park and ride lots
  • Transportation demand management programs
  • Transit speed and reliability improvements
  • New buses
  • Transit service expansion

The Washington State Legislature approved 50 new and continuing Regional Mobility Grant projects across the state for the 2019-2021 biennium.

Authorization for the Regional Mobility Grant program is supported in statute by RCW 47.66.030.
