This project is part of WSDOT’s seismic retrofit program established to help make bridges less susceptible to earthquake related damage.
Work Schedule: See below:

Around the clock:

  • Eastbound Pacific Avenue is reduced to one lane approaching the overpass. One sidewalk is closed around the clock. One sidewalk remains open for pedestrians and bicyclists.

8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24

  • Crews will establish a detour for users of the westbound Pacific Avenue sidewalk and close a single lane of westbound Pacific Avenue. The around-the-clock lane closure will allow crews to create a new work zone for an earthquake retrofit project. Crews at the same time will remove the lane and sidewalk closure for travelers using eastbound Pacific Avenue. The work will not affect Interstate 5 or the Pacific Avenue off- or on-ramps.
