What you need to know for the week of July 6 -12

I-5 Seattle to Everett roadwork

  • Weekly (Special Notice) - The I-5 Express Lanes will be fully closed at 8 p.m. They will reopen as usual the following mornings.
  • Monday, July 6 to the morning of Tuesday, July 7 – Two right lanes on southbound I-5 between S 216th Street and SR 516 will close from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. This is for Sound Transit's F200 project.
  • Tuesday, July 7, to the morning of Saturday, July 11 - The two right lanes of southbound I-5 between 220th Street Southwest and 228th Street will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

I-405 Renton to Bellevue

  • Monday, July 6, to the morning of Tuesday, July 7  The right lane of southbound I-405 between Coal Creek Parkway Southeast and Lake Washington Boulevard Southeast, and the southbound off-ramp to Lake Washington Boulevard Southeast, will be closed overnight, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
  • Monday, July 6, to the morning of Friday, July 10 – The westbound right lane of I-90 approaching I-405, the I-90 westbound on-ramp to I-405 southbound (exit 10), the right lane of southbound I-405 between I-90 and Coal Creek Parkway Southeast, and the southbound I-405 off-ramp and shoulder to Coal Creek Parkway Southeast will be closed nightly from 10:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.

SR 99

  • Until further notice - The right lane of westbound King Street between First Avenue and Alaskan Way will be closed. 

SR 20

  • Until further notice – Both directions of North Cascades Highway are closed at milepost 98 near Rockport. A landslide is blocking the roadway. A signed detour takes drivers from SR 20 to westbound SR 530 at Rockport, then east on Rockport Cascade Road, and west on Cascade River Road before returning to SR 20 in Marblemount.

SR 203

  • Traffic is alternating around-the-clock on SR 203 at Northeast Stillwater Hill Road between Carnation and Duvall. People who use this section of SR 203 should plan for the highway to be closed from 4:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, just south of Northeast Stillwater Hill Road. A signed detour will be in place.

Mountain passes

  • SR 410 and SR 123, Cayuse and Chinook passes are open for the season.
  • The final 2.7 miles of SR 542/Mount Baker Highway, commonly known as the road to Artist Point, has closed for the season due to winter weather conditions until summer 2020.
