For our upcoming winter sailing season starting Dec. 28, there will be changes to the Seattle/Bremerton route schedule due to construction. While we're replacing two in-water terminal structures at Bremerton in January, we cannot tie up two boats there overnight. The route’s #1 boat will dock in Seattle during this work.
Winter schedule changes from Dec. 28, 2025 through March 21, 2026:
- No 4:50 a.m. Bremerton departure (early morning commuters can take the Kitsap Fast Ferry’s 4:40 a.m. sailing).
- The 3:00 p.m. out of Bremerton will leave at 2:40 p.m.
- Added 10:15 p.m. Bremerton to Seattle sailing.
- On Sundays, the 8:35 a.m. Seattle and 9:50 a.m. Bremerton departures are canceled for refueling (normally done overnight in Bremerton).
We will send additional reminders about these schedule changes, including when they are live on the schedule webpage.
Plan for possible weekday travel delays on State Route 104 near our Kingston terminal this fall. Work begins next week on a Kitsap County ferry traffic lane project. Crews are installing a stoplight system at Lindvog Road Northeast that detects when there is space for vehicles in the ferry line to proceed forward. They will also add kiosks that dispense boarding passes to help manage ferry traffic.
What to expect: From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, expect alternating one-way traffic in this area. There will also be occasional full traffic stops in both directions approaching the work zone. Crews are scheduled to wrap up by winter.
The stop light and boarding pass system is planned to start this winter. We will keep you updated through rider alerts on timing and how the system will work.
We are trialing an updated pet policy through February 2026. Dogs on leashes are now allowed in all passenger areas, except onboard food galleys. Other pets must be in a crate or carrier. Service animals are welcome everywhere, as required by law. Livestock must stay in appropriate enclosures at all times. Learn more about our current pet policy and the trial policy on our Pets webpage.
The galley on the #2 Cathlamet is open and available for customer use.
The #2 elevator on the Suquamish is unavailable. There are ADA compliant facilities on the car deck level. The #1 elevator remains in service and available. Updates will occur when more information is available.
The #2 elevator on the Tokitae is out of service. The #1 elevator is available for customer use.
The elevator on the Kaleetan is temporarily unavailable. There are facilities located on the car deck level of the ferry. Updates will occur when more information is available.
We’ve finalized the schedule for construction work affecting our Mukilteo/Clinton route in early 2026. We will suspend service for four hours midday on these nine dates:

- Friday, Jan. 9
- Tuesday, Jan. 13
- Friday, Jan. 16
- Tuesday, Feb. 3
- Wednesday, Feb. 4
- Friday, Feb. 6
- Monday, Feb. 9
On those dates, the last morning sailings will be the 8:30 a.m. out of Clinton and the 9 a.m. out of Mukilteo. Service will resume with the 1 p.m. Clinton departure and 1:30 p.m. Mukilteo departure.
Additional cancellations due to night work
On Monday through Friday nights, Jan. 19-23, 26-30 and Feb. 16-20, the route’s final roundtrip will be canceled. The last sailings will be the 11:30 p.m. from Clinton and the 12:15 a.m. from Mukilteo, 10 minutes later than normal.
About this construction
We'll make repairs at our Mukilteo ferry terminal to the left (west) wing wall, which helps guide the ferry in place during landings. This wing wall was damaged and moved out of position during a hard ferry landing in 2022. We made initial repairs after the incident, but this important and required work will provide a more solid structure for ferry captains as they land vessels in Mukilteo.
If dates change due to weather, marine mammals or other unexpected reasons, we will share alternate dates. We’ll keep you updated through rider alerts, the WSF Weekly email, and social media. You can also sign up for a project-specific email list for more frequent updates.
