Reminder-
Construction crews have begun repaving a lane of Orcas Road as part of a project to improve ADA access to the Orcas Island Ferry Terminal. The work is scheduled from Tuesday, May 23 through Thursday, May 25 and will reduce traffic to one lane. Flaggers will be on site to help navigate vehicles around the work. Traffic will reopen to two lanes on Friday, May 26 once the work is completed. Please note that this work is weather dependent and could be delayed due to inclement conditions.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to improve our facilities. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
Due to a construction project on the south end of Vashon Island, vehicles longer than 60 feet, unless articulated, should temporarily travel on the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route.
The #2 end elevator on M/V Chimacum is out of service until further notice. The #1 end elevator is in service and available for customer use or there is a restroom on the car deck. Technicians have been dispatched. Updates will occur as more information is provided.
Reminder:
After some delays due to global supply chain issues, construction to replace the aging tollbooths at the Anacortes Ferry Terminal began May 1.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and give themselves extra travel time once construction starts as some tollbooths may be closed. The work to replace the tollbooths that are more than 50 years old is scheduled to be completed this fall. The project will add a dedicated ADA accessible tollbooth along with canopies to protect customers from inclement weather when completed. For more information about the project and a full list of project impacts go to: Anacortes Terminal Tollbooth Replacement Project | WSDOT (wa.gov).
